From 1 October 2024, a new benefit is introduced for parents for children who attend the Nursery - Aktywny w Złobku (Active in Nursery)- up to PLN 1500 per month as a benefit to the children who use Nursery care. The benefit is paid by ZUS directly to the Nursery, where the child is enrolled, and the facility is required to refund to the parents or reduce the tuition fee by the amount of the grant. Therefore parents are required to provide the necessary data to the entity running the nursery attended by the child - these data will be entered into the system of Empatia every month (data for the previous month of care), which will later transmit these data to ZUS. Parents must remember to submit an appropriate application to ZUS (through ZUS PUE) latest the beginning of the month forwarding the first month of care. ZUS will decide if the child is entitled to the benefit or not based on the parents’ application and the Nurseries application. The lack of submitting of the application by parents will result in ZUS failing to pay the subsidy.
